Merlin James Alexandre Salisbury received the Design in Production award at the American College Theatre Festival in 2004 for his design of The Least of These, and is single. He was the recipient of the Keith M. and Amy L. Engar scholarship in 2005, and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts Design from the University of Utah in 2006. One of his greatest accomplishments is his consistent success and continuing employment; his recent credits include being the Production Sound Engineer for Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Sound Designer and Engineer for Stages St. Louis, two seasons as the Sound Designer for Utah Musical Theatre, and the Resident Sound Engineer for the Marriot Center for Dance. He intends to pursue a Masters degree in Sound Design for live theatre at the University of Missouri at Kansas City in the fall of 2007. Of all his experiences, the greatest and most memorable was the two years he spent serving as a missionary in Taipei Taiwan. Merlin dedicates every show and his entire career to the memory of his father, James Earl Salisbury.
